SUMMARY:Moving Schools Towards a Broader View of Behavior
DESCRIPTION:Join me at the Colorado Association for School Counselors in Keystone\, CO. \nIn this workshop we’ll delve into understanding how to work with the adults in your building(s) to start making the shift from a behavior perspective to a regulatory focus. Learn to assess where an educator might be along a developmental continuum. Use that information to guide you in supporting them more effectively in seeing how to understand what behaviors are telling us about students’ neurophysiological states. We’ll weave together educational and therapeutic frameworks to help give educators meaningful information\, that will help them understand practices to manage stress and anxiety in the classroom. Learn about various roles we can play\, and how to create an understanding of the need for different and complimentary roles amongst staff. We are all responsible for supporting social and emotional health. Learn to help educators shift their paradigm and understand their important role in this work.
