DESCRIPTION:Judy will be headed to Soaring Heights PK-8 School in St Vrain\, Colorado on February 5th from 8-10am to talk about Supporting Students in Independently Applying Effective Self-Regulation Strategies in the Classroom. \nSelf-regulation is essential for managing stress\, behaviors\, and accessing thinking. Did you know prerequisite skills and specific elements needed to develop self-regulation are often missing in our programming? These missing pieces can result in students getting stuck in certain behaviors and struggling to apply the strategies we’re teaching\, leading to frustration for both students and educators. Learn to incorporate these vital elements with only minor shifts to daily routines. Using whole-brain approaches\, we can teach specific skills and cultivate capacities that enable students to identify and implement strategies that work best for them in various environments.
