SUMMARY:Registration is Open! Evolution of a Synergetic Educator - Spring 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join Us! Discover the missing pieces in working with daily challenges in teaching and learning with our unique approach! \nAre you finding that some students remain stuck in challenging behaviors despite your best efforts? Or perhaps you’re dedicated to fostering a classroom where every student can thrive but finding that traditional methods aren’t delivering the results you hoped for …. \nThen join us for the Evolution of a Synergetic Educator program – it’s more than just a set of new tools! It’s about empowering you with a deep understanding of what’s occurring with your students and in your classrooms. Insight into the root causes and underlying dynamics inform our easy-to-use practical strategies for addressing today’s challenges.  \n We’ll empower you to step into being the educator you set out to be before the realities of teaching got in the way. By filling in the missing pieces that traditional approaches often overlook\, you’ll be prepared to create lasting positive change in your classroom and your students’ lives\, in ways that feel authentic and congruent for you. \n We’ll guide you through the process\, with science\, practice\, and application support; YOU choose what fits you and your students!  \nHere’s What Sets Us Apart: \n\nAddressing Root Causes\, Not Just Symptoms: Traditional approaches to student behavior often miss the mark\, sometimes even escalating situations. Our program teaches you how to recognize brain and body states that influence student behavior\, allowing you to intervene with the right strategy at the right time.\nCreating Felt Safety and Belonging: Safety and belonging aren’t just about a welcoming environment—they start in the brain. Our program teaches you how to foster an atmosphere where you can help your students develop a felt sense of safety and belonging\, leading to better self-regulation and a readiness to learn.\nEmpower Students Through Regulation: Regulation is most effective when it’s integrated throughout the day\, not just during scheduled brain breaks. We teach you how to guide students in understanding their own activation and behavior\, helping them take responsibility for their behavior and regulation.\nShifting Resistance into Readiness: Collaborating with colleagues can be challenging\, especially when resistance to change is high. Our revolutionary Developmental Mindsets Paradigm™ offers strategies to shift resistance into readiness\, creating a ripple effect that transforms school culture into one that prioritizes regulation\, safety\, and belonging for all. \nBridging Gaps in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Traditional SEL programs often overlook critical elements like interoceptive awareness and the ability to adapt strategies to different environments. We teach you how to integrate these missing pieces\, helping students use SEL skills independently and effectively.\nTransforming Student-Adult Relationships: Power struggles and miscommunication can derail student-adult interactions. Our program equips you with tools to navigate these complex dynamics\, fostering trust\, respect\, and mutual understanding that lead to positive changes in your classroom and students’ lives. \n\nJoin the Evolution of a Synergetic Educator program to gain the skills and insights needed to create lasting\, meaningful change for your students\, classrooms\, and schools. Transform education\, while balancing student and educator well-being\, so everyone is getting what they need to thrive!

SUMMARY:Youth Mental Health Training Series: Houston Mayor's Office of Education and Youth Engagement
DESCRIPTION:The Mayor’s Office of Education and Youth Engagement has partnered with Synergetic Education and Play Therapy Institutes to host a FREE and VIRTUAL youth mental health series which includes the following workshops:\n\n\n\n\nPreparing students’ brains and bodies to learn in the classroom  \nThursday\, March 27th 12pm – 1pm CT (for Adults ONLY) \nDESCRIPTION: Even the most skilled professionals sometimes need assistance when students are not ready to learn\, and behavior is impacting the classroom. What if the key to this challenge is helping students’ brains and bodies prepare for learning? By understanding the science behind behavior\, we can use the mechanisms already in play to effectively shift behaviors. Let’s explore how even the most challenging behaviors can serve as a roadmap\, revealing what is happening and what actions can help us return to an environment where students are ready to learn. \nBalancing student and adult wellness  \nThursday\, April 24th\, 12pm – 1pm CT (for Adults ONLY) \nDESCRIPTION: The constant pressure on educators to do more can lead to feelings of stress and fatigue. It’s essential to learn how to implement positive changes in student behavior while also supporting educators’ well-being. This has been a zero-sum game for far too long; we shouldn’t have to choose between the needs of students and the health of educators. Both are crucial for a thriving educational environment. Join us as we examine how prevalent misconceptions in education are obstructing our ability to model healthy behaviors for students and contributing to educator burnout! \nUnderstanding Fears and Anxiety \nMonday\, May 19th\, 5pm – 6pm CST (Youth AND Adults welcomed) \nMore info coming soon! \nWhen someone we know is struggling \nMonday\, June 30th\, 5pm – 6pm CST (Youth AND Adults welcomed) \nMore info coming soon! \n   \n\nWorkshops will be facilitated by Lisa Dion and Judith Norman\, to learn more about the facilitators CLICK HERE. SUMMARY:Webinar: Finding Balance During Times of Stress for Crofton School (Vancouver\, BC)
DESCRIPTION:Judy will be doing a live webinar for Crofton School in Vancouver\, British Columbia\, Canada on Finding Balance During Times of Stress\, April 9th from 1-2pm.  \nDoes it sometimes feel difficult to stay connected to your children during times of stress? Stress and anxiety impact all of us\, including our children. It’s easy to fall into patterns of relating that are full of frustration. An understanding of what’s happening in our brains and bodies can help guide us through these challenging dynamics. Join this exploration of the neurobiology of behaviors and interactions. Learn to understand what behaviors are telling us about internal experiences so we can respond in ways that promote regulation. Most importantly\, learn how to promote strong relationships built upon moments of connection. \nLearning objectives: \n\n Explore the neurobiology of interactions and gain an understanding about what is happening between us in challenging moments.\nLearn how brain states and nervous system activation impact behaviors and how we can offer support through co-regulation.\n\n*If you would like us to do a training or workshop for your school or organization\, email us at info@synergticeducation.com.
