School Mental Health Community of Practice Summer Series

The Community of Practice Summer Series is a learning opportunity to support mental health professionals who collaborate with educators, administrators, and school staff. It aims to help participants start the school year with a practical plan to engage staff and build capacity. Through exploring frameworks and strategies, attendees will be able to uncover the dynamics creating barriers and learn effective ways to navigate them. Join us in this exploration to empower educators and advance your mental health goals in schools.

LIVE SESSION 1:  Moving from Educator Resistance to Engagement 

July 10, 2024, 10AM–12PM 

Using a developmental continuum framework identify the stage of development of educators you are working with and analyze interactions from this lens.

LIVE SESSION 2:  Aligning Implementation with Developmental Readiness 

July 17, 2024 10AM– 12PM 

Examine how to use neuroscience in your work with educators from a developmental perspective and 

analyze scenarios through this paradigm. 

LIVE SESSION 3: Teaming for Overcoming Barriers

July 24, 2024 10AM –12PM 

Examine challenging dynamics that are a barrier to building capacity and creating plans for working with specific situations and educators. 

Guided practice throughout the series will support developing implementation plans for the schools and populations you serve.
